Tribe Bicycle Co El Capitan

The bike, the myth, the legend: El Capitan

El Capitan stands alone with pride and valor. From Yosemite to Tribe, it holds its ground, solo, but is ready to be taken on by those looking for a fun challenge.

This fixed gear, single speed bike is outfitted with a matte army green frame, matte black components, and a touch of yellow to establish an intense aesthetic, and you really can’t go wrong with matte if you’re looking for intensity— it’s badass. The bike has a flip-flop hub, which allows for a choice between fixed gear and single speed riding, and also uses a 44/16 gear ratio. It's perfect for the urban city-goer who wants to cruise and enjoy the view while en route to the top of their world — yes, we just went there.

  • Army Green & Matte Black color way
  • Fork and frame are made of tig welded 1020 Hi-Tensile Steel

Cranksets: 44T, 46T, and 48t chainring, what's the difference?

November 02, 2017

A chainring has a certain amount of teeth noted in the specs. For example, 44 or 46 or 48 t or teeth. So what do these numbers mean and how does it affect me when biking?
